Let’s see Barcelona score a goal like this…

The real question is whether he saw the keeper off his line and connected perfectly or whether he just heard a bunch of parents on the sideline yelling, “Boot it!”

let’s work on that tonight. you’ve got a drill or two to help my boys perfect their 75-yard volleys, right?

Judging by way the Real back 4 played today, Barca may have been able to score by booting it (…just kidding).
On a different, for those who want their teams to play possession soccer. Barcelona today completed, yes completed, 600 passes in today’s 5-0 thrashing of Real. Some of the penetrating passes were so precise, they bordered on perfection. How’s that for the benefits of possession soccer?

Yeah both Marcelo and Ramos were outclassed. Marcelo was caught ball watching when Pedro knicked in front of him to get to Villa’s cross for the second goal and Ramos was ventilated regularly (including by Villa on that same goal). Ramos’ frustration showed in the red card tackle on Messi late in the game. Wonder how shoving Puyol and Xavi in the face after that tackle will go over the next time they get together for a Spain game (assuming Ramos still gets picked).
